Welcome to the official site of the Richard Petty Museum!
The Richard Petty Museum, established in 1988, is a glimpse into the life and accomplishments of the great racing legend. With 200 career wins & 7 NASCAR Championships, the King has an awesome display of racing history as well as many personal collectibles from him & his wife, Lynda. Some of the personal collections: over 350 guns, 900 dolls, & 500 pocket watches along with much more! So stop in & visit with us today—we would love to have you!
Let us host your corporate party or special event. We offer catering services with a wide range of items for your occasion. Call or email us for more information!
We have added a special kids “pit stop” where children can hang out and design their own race car and we will even have the King sign it & mail it back! Kids can also watch the movie “Cars” and sit in a mini race car!
There is a snack area with vending machines and a big screen TV - you can sit & watch the race with us! You can bring your lunch & eat it on the patio at our outdoor seating area.
Visitors to the museum can have a free pass to visit Petty's Garage, located just 6 miles north of the museum Monday-Thursday, 10-3pm. The garage is right beside the King’s old home place where it all began!
